Located in Wild Horse Valley with views of Lake Frey, the owner was looking to add an artist's retreat to the property. Her vision was to build an art studio that doubled as an intimate entertaining area with a bocce court, pickleball court and outdoor dining space.

The goal for ChandlerWorkshop was to create a thoughtfully distilled space that advocates the indoor-outdoor connection. The solution was a simple rectangular building with a shed roof. Utilizing tapered walls at the exterior patio, the building splays outwards towards the view and exterior spaces. Large glass openings on each end allow the owner to transport large canvases and art materials on one side, while completely opening up to the covered lounge area on the other side. Firewise materials such as standing seam metal roofing and corrugated metal siding were implemented to create a building that can leave a lasting impression.

Currently under construction. Estimated completion is in late Spring 2025.
